1. Purchase a USB Cable for the Phone (The Audiovox 8900's will work aswell) - BUY CABLE

2. Download and Install Bitpim - DOWNLOAD

3. Make sure the Phone is OFF and plug the cable into the phone and into the computer. At this point the phone should turn on automatically (don't open the phone).

4. XP Will ask for drivers, direct it to the Curitel directory (should be on the cd, if not download it HERE )

5. Shutdown the PC

6. Set the Port Driver to same port as your modem.  To do this follow these quick steps:
      - Load Device Manager (Start, Settings, Control Panel, Systems, Hardware Tab, Device Manager button
      - Click the + sign beside Modems, right click the Curitel Packet Service and hit properties
      - Goto the Advanced tab, Click the button Advanced Port Settings and make note of the COM Port Number
      - Now click Cancel twice
      - Click the + sign beside Ports (Com and LTP), right click the Curitel Packet Service Diagnostic Serial and
        hit properties
      - Goto the Port Settings tab and click Advanced
      - Set the Com Port Number to the same one as the Modem (the note you took above ;))
      - Now hit ok and you may get a Warning Message like the one below
       - Click Yes and hit ok and Exit out of the Device Manager

7.  Run Bitpim

8.  Click on Log

9.  Goto Edit=>Settings, you should see a screen such as the one below.

10.  Change Com Port to what the Curitel Service Packet port & modem are set to (i.e the note you took above) and set the phone type to Lg-VX4400. (dont think this makes a difference but what the heck ;))

11.  Hit ok.
